Anthony J. Francisco:
Founder and Managing Partner
With a degree from Columbia Law, Anthony has extensive experience researching, writing, litigating, and negotiating.
Columbia Law is universally regarded as one of the most prestigious law schools in the world and has always ranked in the top five law schools in the United States by U.S. News and World Report. In fact, Columbia ranks #1 in Contracts & Commercial Law, and #2 in Business & Corporate Law, behind only Harvard University.
After graduating from Columbia Law with the dean’s distinction and the honor of being selected as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, an award reserved for the top of the class, Anthony started Francisco & Francisco with the goal of providing Ivy League services to small businesses and individuals who would otherwise not have access to the best lawyers in the world.
Anthony focused specifically on bankruptcy reorganization, civil litigation, and business law. In fact, Anthony’s senior advisor, Jim Millstein, is the Co-Chairman of Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm with $270 Billion of assets under management. Millstein was also the Chief Restructuring Officer at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Corporate Restructuring at Lazard.
Anthony also maintains a great relationship with Professor Ronald Mann, an expert in the Universal Commercial Code, commercial finance, and bankruptcy. Professor Mann regularly writes for the U.S. Supreme Court Blog.
Anthony has offices in Orange County, California, but takes cases from all over California. Anthony associates with the most qualified lawyers to serve as local counsel or to provide a particular area of substantive expertise as part of the litigation team when necessary.
Anthony is admitted to practice law before all Superior and Federal Courts in the State of California, including the Southern District of California, Central District of California, Northern District of California, and Eastern District of California.
As soon as Anthony agrees to take a case, he immediately begins to investigate the facts, obtain and study all relevant documents and immerse himself in the substantive area or areas of law at issue.
From the outset of opening his law practice, Anthony combined his world-class research, arguing, and negotiating skills to help clients process legal issues and achieve outcomes that exceeded their expectations.
In fact, within the first few months of being admitted to the bar, Anthony was retained by a nationally recognized company to retain $750,000 worth of cash and property in a contract dispute. Not only did Anthony win the dispute, but he far exceeded the expected outcome of the company.
Anthony has served as an advisor to several start-up companies and established businesses since 2013.
